Something stinks?????

So about the last 4 days I have started having this smell in my van, I got in it this morning to go to work and I almost puked...hell, I had to go to work so I endured it, got in it to drive home and it was even worse!!! Well, I had to figure out what the deal was, after searching from one end to the other, I pinpointed the smell to the headliner right above the drivers seat... I knew it had to be something dead in there but I had no clue of what I was about to find...a freakin" rat, not a mouse, but a RAT, 14" from tip of nose to tip of tail, to make it worse it was full of maggots!! I know, pics or it didn't happen so here it goes... WARNING: these pics are a bit gross, dont look if you have weak stomach!!

If this hadn't happened to me I wouldn't believe it myself, but there was a huge rat in my van between the headliner and roof!!!!

To answer a few questions.....How it got up in there, all I can figure is that it came up from the bottom through the door pillar?!?!!? And the smell was horrific but I think I have about gotten it knocked out, I had to go buy an odor eliminator, it seems to be working....The most imp't question, why do I drive a van....wellll...the Jeep is the wifes and thats ok because I drive about 100 miles a day and the van gets 23 mpg as opposed about 15-16 mpg in the Jeep...and yes it has been referred to as a shaggin' wagon!! sportsmiley
