Help me N2Rock Kenobie, You're my only hope!

the little trim piece that holds the rubber shift boot in place, those little plastic studs that go from the top to the bottom through the holes in the shift boot, they melted. I know crazy. Anyways, got a new shift boot assembly (that is already attached to the new trim pieces.) $22. Anyways I have heard to remove the shift knob you have to yank like a mofo. But before I start yanking on my knob violently and tearing shit up I needed to hear from N2 telling me it is the right thing to do.

Yanking violently on your knob would be bad.

what year model is it?

I think Ben's knob is from the 1985 era

some lube might help when chocking the

Yanking is the last thing you want to do more like a smooth caress will get the job done much better

Use Astroglide or K-Y Jelly for better results.
