Say hello to Alexi

Yesterday after work, me and Shannonon went out for dinner. On the way home, we spotted a small dog walking along the side of the road near an empty field. Fearing that this dog might wander into the road, we turned around and went back. When we got back, we discovered it was just a puppy- soaking wet and scared to death. It took shelter under a Brush Hog that was parked in the field. It would not come out from under the Brush Hog no matter how much we tried. So we ran home and got one of our other dogs- hoping that seeing another dog would coax it out. Well, it was scared of our dog, but very curious about it. It would bark at our dog, but would not come out. I noticed that if I walked away with my dog, the puppy would creep out to get a better look. So Shannonon stood on top of the Brush Hog and would quietly wait in ambush as me and our dog walked away. After about 30 minutes, we had "tricked" it out far enough that Shannonon was able to grab it.

She's a beauty! We're thinking she's a yellow Lab. She's so young she is barely past weening- only has 2 teeth right now. I'm guessing she is probably around 8-10 weeks old. Way too young to have been capable of surviving on her own.

We really didn't want/need another dog (we have 2 already). But if no one claims her, we can't resist.







Our oldest dog's maternal instincts have kicked in, and she is acting like a momma to the puppy. The puppy has adopted both our oldest dog and Shannonon as its surrogate mothers, and needs one of them to be within sight at all times. If neither are in sight, it starts barking and/or crying.

Cute dog! yeah no more than 10 weeks old. Its a lab for sure. I wonder how she ended up on the road.

Some asshole dumped her there, that's how.

Reminds me of Dixie..... she would droop her ears any time I talked to her... then they would perk up if I held up her throw toy.

Another rescued dog!!! Great to see a new addition to the family.
Mine was resuced when I almost hit him coming home late on the highway.

Awesome, guys. I'm late to this party, but good job!

I ended up adding a rescued Chihuahua to my household recently after my friend finally had it with his worthless wife and turd daughter (my words, not his, and I'm paraphrasing here) not helping and only antagonizing, so his solution was just to get rid of the dog, send him back to the shelter. I said no, he's good friends with my wiener dog George, I'll give him a home.

Other than an incident with him trying to run away home about two days later, we haven't had much drama, and both George and the new addition Willie are settling in great
