| Anyone here know anything about them?
I found one that is a 79' and looks to be a commercial bus conversion. It has the holding tanks, ac and heat. Also has solar panels on top to run the lights. The engine only has 32'000 miles on it and is a cat with allison transmission. It has new tires on it and the motor was idling with 75lbs of oil pressure. Oh and the best part of it is the last 8" of it is a workshop! It has a door that folds down so I can load my harley into it! or carry a welder torches and all tools needed.
Pretty much I just don't know anything about them, but he is asking $8'000 for it and I know the blue birds have a big following.
Any advice would be appreciated

| I would take it to an RV service shop, tell them that you intend on buying it and have them check it over. It may be worth whatever it costs. If it is in good condition the owner should have no problem with you doing that. Just tell him that you don't know anything about them and want to be sure it is good to go. If they find something wrong you can negotiate with the owner.... | |

| Last time I sold a boat I told the guy to take it to a shop of his choice and have it checked out - if there was something wrong with it I would pay for the check out and we would negotiate any repairs if it checked out fine he would pay for it..... he agreed and bought it. It was in perfect condition....
They will know just what to look for in terms of common problems or abuse.

| Zack,
Check on insurance too. Some companies won't insure RV's beyond xxxx date. It might be a pretty penny to insure it if you do find a company.

| Well scratch the blue bird idea. From what all I have found out I am going to go a different rout. Maybe just save up a little longer and buy a newer diesel pusher instead of going with one so old. This one I think would need way to much work to get it to where I would enjoy it. | |

24' - in good shape. Thanks but right now really no need. I will have to wait to save a little more money before I buy something. Really what I am waiting for is to pay my jeep off, That should happen around March, if all goes as planned. Then I will be seriously looking.

Just out of curiosity, how much gas mileage do you get with it? The reason I was wanting a diesel is so I can pull my jeep with me and get decent mileage.
