| Well, I bought this truss thinking I might be able to use on the the front Dana.... But that didn't happen. So.... Since I have the rear Dana out... Maybe????? This is what it is. Too tall. I didn't want to scrap it, so here we go. ************************ So, I used my Vertical Bandsaw and knoched the steel at the bend so I could heat and bend it where I needed. ************************************* So, I opened it up and brought the top down close to the pumpkin. I'm not looking to weld to it this time. The side with the vent, had to drill a hole for access to the nipple. And since i can't "seal" this gusset by welding all around, also put some "drain" holes on front and back. Did paint the inside before welding in place. There is a "L" bracket laying in approximate location I am considering attaching. One on each side. Will bolt to the top and use longer bolts to attach on each side of the pumpkin. Since I have a milling machine, I will slot the holes a bit. ************************************* Welded up.... So, is this overkill?????? ** ** ** Hell bent for stout? Or close to it... kinda-sorta-maybe???? ** | |
