| I just bought a Corbeau Safari bench seat for my '86 CJ7 and thought it would be a direct bolt in, guess I was wrong. I thought the '86 had the threaded bolt holes standard but the front brackets need two holes and there is only one for each side and there aren't any holes for the side brackets. I guess I have to drill and make my own unless I'm missing out on something. Has anyone done this before? If so, do you know of any good instructions? The paper the seat came with isn't worth a darn. How far back? How much angle? I don't have a clue, thanks for any help. I've looked online trying to see if there is a one bolt bracket that might have been original, but no luck. | |

| I know there are a few guys that had/have CJs but I am guessing they haven't seen your post. They might help you on the right bench location.
In my TJ I installed the newer TJ seats. For the rear bench I had to drill 4holes to the tub (2 on each side) and attached the bracket with bolts and nuts.I had a friend holding the bolts on top with a wrench while I was tighten the nuts under the tub. If you need help installing it let me know and we can meet up on a weekend or after work during the week. | |

| Make sure if you're just drilling thru sheet metal you use large fender washers to keep the nuts from ripping thru! | |
