| I am in Corpus, needing to get my jeep undercoated and rust proofed. Any suggestions, or places that do a good thourogh job that has a good warranty, to where I'm getting the best bang for my buck? The dealership wanted $380 just to undercoat it... I know it can be done way cheaper.
Thanks, Daniel | |

| I am doing the underside of my 6x6 with duplicolor truck bed coating. I wouldnt tust it for use on a real truck bed but I have heard many good reviews of it being used for undercoating. I am also priming w/rustolem red anti-rust primer | |

| honestly man I have experienced that it makes such a small difference that it isn't worth the cost. Somewhere there will be something missed, or more likely a rock will chip it and the water or sand will start to rust it from the inside of the liner. I live in Corpus Christi too man and you will be absolutely fine if you just power wash the underside of it in one of the various establishments in either flour bluff or port aransass.
Just my two cents. | |

| Ya i agree, from corpus as well and even plastic rusts down here lol. If you plan to keep it for 30 years then get it done by a pro. But either way it will rust do it yourself n save the 300$ but only you, will actually appreciate it. Unless u get a 6 inch lift n everyone can see the under carraige | |

| I usually run mine thru the freshwater rinse in Port A (washes the undercarriage) a couple of cycles, the wipe it dry. I have 3 dents with exposed metal that haven't rusted a bit in the last 3 years of storage in Rockport, so the process seems to work. But, my Jeep is 13 years old, so if it rusts a little, its OK.
$380.00 isn't bad though, especially if a dealer is tied to the work. And since it's a new Jeep, why cut corners? Jeeps are pretty unique in they hold their resale value better than most. You'll get that $380.00 and more back when you trade it off.
Just my 2 cents worth.
