| My schedule has a small window in it and it happens to be Saturday morning. I'd love to come help on Saturday for 4 hours, if you'll have me. As it stands right now, I don't have anything to install on my rig. That could change. I'd love to help others that might need it. | |

Why not convert it to disc brakes? Look for a junked ZJ that has a D44 with disc brakes.

Matt - I'm sorry I missed this reply earlier. Yes, I do have a big ass compressor. 60gal, 5 hp continuous duty, Ingersoll Rand. I think it'll work! We can set you up just outside the door in the covered parking area. It's all sand right there anyway. A little blasting sand won't hurt.

As it stands right now, I don't have anything to install on my rig. That could change. I'd love to help others that might need it. Everyone is welcome. If you don't have parts to install, I'm sure there will be plenty of people who need help. Otherwise you can look pretty and just drink beer.

Sure thing man. I didn't know you were having problems with it. Bring some oil with you as we may end up pulling the plug or cracking it open.

| Randy and I were discussing lunch possibilities for the install party. We were planning to do tacos so Marcus will feel at home. I'll get with Randy and we'll come up with a list of things we'll need in case people want to contribute. The welder is up and ready for use. The plasma is en route and I will also have that ready for some playtime. I don't have much scrap metal so if you want to play, try to bring some scrap plate, tube or whatever. Ray said he wants to stretch his TJ so some of you can make the cuts on his frame for him. | |

| Looking forward to the party...
What is the address???
Here's my list....
1) Install fuse block 2) Install under hood VIAIR OBA system w/ 2.5 gallon tank 3) Wire front driving lights 4) Wire rear back-up lights 5) Install Daystar lower switch panel w/ switches
I have all the parts assembled (switches, relays, etc.)...just need extra wire and electrical connectors.
What do I need to bring in the way of electrical connectors?
Thanks!!! | |

| If you want to solder the connections, bring some solder as I think I am almost out of solder. I may have enough but I can't say for sure.
Personally, I like to solder and shrink wrap my connections. Others may have a different approach. If you want to shrink wrap, bring some of that too. I'm not sure what you'll need for connectors. Are they a blade style connector?
I'll PM everyone my address when we get a little closer to Saturday. I had a theft at my shop earlier this year so I don't like to post it up on a public forum.

I'm looking at "bullet style" connectors for the wiring. Also, I need to buy battery cable wire for the fuse block. Any suggestions on where to buy the heat shrink and connectors? Home Depot, Lowes, Auto Zone, etc.? - Hemi_Tim aka thebigtman wrote:

That is just plain wrong...I'm from South Florida and folks can get shot doing something so stupid and reprehensible... Looking forward to Saturday...

| You can get tubing shrink wrap at most places. I've seen it at HD, Lowe's, Napa, etc.
If you need to buy electrical connectors look at Harbor Freight or Northern Tool. They have bulk stuff that is a lot cheaper than buying it at the box stores.
See you Saturday! | |

| UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!!
So far I've got about 15-16 Jeeps in attendance based on replies to this thread.
Now, onto the important stuff - FOOD! The Potlickinpirates are cooking! We planned to keep it simple and stick with ground beef tacos. Randy has some pickles so they'll fry those up for us too. We have the meat, cheese, tortillas and plates taken care of on our end. If people want to contribute to the cause, we could use items like:
hard taco shells lettuce - Ray salsa guacamole napkins ??????
If you want to bring something, reply here so others don't duplicate. If you want to bring something else, that's cool too. I just kept it simple so we didn't need forks, knives, etc. Any suggestions are appreciated.
