It's great to see the ones sitting in the restaurants eating, I work for Army Corp of Engineers at Fort Sam building the new hospital. I see the wounded soldiers in the hallways everyday. I wish I could just stand there and thank everyone of them as they go by. I would never get done, I don't think people realize how many wounded there have been because of this war.

Ditto to what Lonestar had to say. When I was on active duty I would go to the burn unit at BAMC and visit with soldiers. If people could only see the high price that some of these men and women pay for our continued security and freedom.

I remember stopping by Starbucks one morning. A YOUNG soldier stepped in line behind me as I was beginning my order. I told the associate to put whatever he was ordering on my card. The look of surprise and gratitude on that young man's face was priceless. I'd do that every day given the opportunity.

We can't do enough to take care of them for all that they've done for us.
