| Hello all, with all the lift choices for the JK what is the best one on the market with a kinda do all terrain. im looking to put 4" on it. also with the factory gearing and auto tranny what would be the biggest tire you would recommend. i plan on re gearing later. with lockers and axle upgrades as well. i guess it will mostly be driven on the trails of hidden falls since im 5 miles from there.. thank yall for youre input | |

| With 4" of lift you can put 37" tires on without any issues. Manufacturers I would recommend are Poly Performce, Rock Krawler and Teraflex. But there are plenty of other good ones out there. With 4" you want adjustable control arms to line up your pinion angle and to get the best flex out of you arms. I assume you have a D30 up front, so with the 37" tire you are going to want to sleeve, truss and gusset it ASAP before you bend an axle. Cheap insurance. Marcus has a 20% discount on rockkrawler systems. http://www.myjeepforum.net/t3990-rock-krawler#54827 Hope that helps. | |

| Yes it has a D 30 up front. I am thinking it has the 3.41 gear ratio i got it used and i dont think the spec. sheet was correct from the dealer it said 4.10 but it dosent have the tow package. i was not wanting to go with a 37" tire maybe 35s are the biggest i want to go. but i want it to be flexible and street able at the same time. can one put a lift like the rock krawler on in the garage or would it be best to pay the money to have it installed | |

| My advice would be to install it yourself, or drive down to San Antonio and we can put an install party together. If you get your lift before January 15th, we have an install party planned. Jeeps don't come with 3.41 gears. Probably has 3.21, 3.73 or 4.10 depending the year of your Jeep. | |

| I will be installing a Teraflex 2.5" Coil Lift soon and will be able to give you some feedback on it. I have 33s and plan to stick with them for a couple years. I may eventually move up to 35s once I feel like spending more $$$ on gears and a rear tire carrier. I think with the 2.5" Lift and flat fenders/fender chop you can run 35s-37s. AEV makes a really nice kit but it is pricey! Hope this helps... | |

| for your intended use with lots of flex, you'd be fine with the RK 2.5" or 3.5" lifts. The 2.5" lift is actually 3" springs in the front & 2" springs in the rear and should work perfect with 35" tires. The 3.5" lift consists of 4" springs in front and 3" springs out rear. myself, i run a frankenlift: 3" HD full traction springs, Rustys Fr LCAs, DBS Fr UCAs, TF moster front TB, and looonnng bilstein 5100s up front and stock shocks out back. I will be installing BDS Rr UCAs and TNT Customs Rr shock relocation brackets soon. They are under piles of crap in my garage somewhere. I have LOTS of flex. so much that in the pic in my avatar, my front springs dropped right out . right now I'm sporting ziptie spring retainers | |

| I run a Full Traction 3" Premium Plus with Bilstien 5100 shocks and love it!!!! It uses the factory style bushings at the frame and a new spring material and rate it has great flex and smooth ride. I always hear EVERYBODY complain about the jeeps riding rough. I have no complaints, but it doesn't ride rough either! | |

| I would go with Poly performance or Rock Krawler.
Whatever you get bring it on the 15th and we will help with the install.

| Like these guys said...Rock Krawler or Poly. I sell both, but the Rock Krawler is a better buy considering expense. I also carry Tera-Flex if you want to go that route.
I run 35" MTRs on a 2.5" Budget Boost (spacers) and cut stock flares. I will move over to the 2.5" Max Travel if I don't go with the upcoming 2.5" stretch kit on my two door. Uh oh...did I say that outloud?

If we do it at Jons all you need to bring is parts. We have done a couple lifts there and he has everything needed. No alignment needed unless you install adjustable control arms. All you need is to straighten the steering wheel and adjust the track bar. The only thing adjustable is Toe and it is not affected by lift. Drive shaft angles will be off a little but not much you can do about it unless you want to spend a bunch of money. | |
