J-N Chain of Command and more

Just thought it would be a good idea to set up a good chain of command for the club so people know who talks to who about what. Here is just a idea on what I think it should be IMO

President- Renne
Sa Leader - Renne
Houston Leader - Jennie??
Webmaster (forum and main site) - Adam and Mudhound??
Mechanic - George???
Public Relations - Jennie???
Treasurer - Renne or Jennie???

We can vote on these or anyone can just take up the postion

I know we don't do dues or anything but we could earn money from T-shirt or sticker sales so we could have money to reserve Offroad Parks so we can use them without the crowd and also to help pay for the websites.

Also I think we should set a date for monthly meeting for each chapter. This can be choosen by the leaders or each chapter. This would help members arrange their time around the meeting because they know it will be the same time every month.

Bigger Clubs like Tx4wd.org have a main Pres. Which is Ingrid

But each Chapter has their own Pres. as well.

As for the Meetings.......Sounds good other then The Houston Guy's seem to Stay so Busy. I think for us we should Just have a meet before big events and such...too many Meetings seems to take the fun out of the Club.

G might go for Mechanic if the pay plan is right...LOL

As for the Web site you talkin about on here or on Jeep-Nation?

Website wise I mean both, I know neither one of them can be cheap to run and if we get big enough have to make seperate websites for each chapter (like TX4WD.org) then it could get pricey

for the houston chapter we could do a mothly or we could just plan a run tospring just to have fun

i'll throw in my hat for technical advisor (mechanic) for the SA chapter, but my specialty is maintainence (no damm spell check) and suspension and engine upgrades

I will be sending out the guidelines for the club soon, hang tight guys.

hahaha bet he wont go for that Pay plan..........he's bout to start his own Jeep shop, he works on too many Jeeps for free. This last build cost us way too much $$$ in Welding wire, tools, elect. bill etc....... Can't afford to keep doin it for free...LOL

I agree, the club needs to stay as simple as possible, its about the wheeling and getting together, guidelines are there to help us if we find ourselves in a sticky situation and dont know how to handle it. I personally do not want a bunch of meetings, meeting minutes, treasurers report and so forth... I've already done that and its a pain in the bu....tt.

No 18 year old should be in charge of any decision making for a forum or website or for that matter be a Webmaster. It takes someone who will make sound and level headed decissions, plus be on the forum very freequently.

As for a treasurer, there's no need for one. The forum owner should be responsable for any monies taken in or paid out.
