WTH happened to my Jeep

Subject: WTH happened to my Jeep Thu 08 May 2008, 7:40 am

OK, I'm driving to work this morning. Traveling about 65-70mph, lights and radio were on. As I'm driving, every light on my dash flashed and the gauges did a full sweep! However, it did not miss a beat w/the engine or my rate of speed!

What was that???

Yup, that's what it sound like to me. You have an '07- do you know when it was built? There is a recall on this for JK's built before Jan 22 '07

right now all i can say is it was registered in April '07...going back to the dealer now

you can check if there is a recall on your jeep here: http://www.jeep.com/en/owners/ on the left side of the page there is a place for recalls. Just enter last 8 digits of your vin and it will tell you if you have the stall bug recall

nope- a recall means it affects every vehicle built within a certain date range and is a safety hazard.

A TSB is a "Technical Service Bulletin"- which is just instructions sent out to dealers on how to fix certain odd shit that just happens to some vehicles (doesn't happen to all, and is not a safety hazard). Many TSB's are issued because people go to dealers complaining of some weird thing that occurs and the dealers have trouble finding the problem. Once it becomes a none problem, a TSB is sent out so that other dealers won't have to search for the problem and the fix.

Yeah IO went through that too. Had it reflashed and it never happened again.
It takes about 20 seconds to do. Let me know if you need any dealer help with it!

Can`t believe we are still getting jeeps with the 'ol stall bug issue. I thought those were all flashed by now.
