Does anyone know this JK??

Hey all......I haven't been on here in a while, the main reason being is because I'm not a Jeep owner anymore. toddandsharisJK is now just sharisJK....she got it in the divorce...it was hers the whole time anyway!! ANYWAY.....I am seriously looking at getting another Jeep and the local Chevy dealer here in Aransas Pass happens to have this one sitting on thier used lot, I was just wondering if anyone happens to recognize this beast and know anything about it....I havent actually talked to a salesmen yet so I have no idea what they are asking...It seems to be built right..Bilstiens,Riddler diff covers,Schrockworks front bumper, not sure what brand lift but looks to be good quality.....If anyone has any info or words of warning let me know cuz as soom as I get over the Flu I am gonna go really check it out......thanks,Todd

Ya it was his. He traded it in on a new Ford F150...


The tub is bedlined etc...

That was my first guess too. I don't think he wheeled it too hard. I think some of the guys in H-town loved giving him crap about that. At least that's what he said at Hidden Falls that day Jeep Nation was cutting trails (Renee's Regret). But that was a while back. It looked good then and still looks good. Hopefully he chimes in, but I remember being impressed with it.

I lost his ph number when my phone got stolen.... I sent him a PM on JKO. He checks in over there now and again on some stuff he has for sale so hopefully he will see it. I tried do find some pics but he deleted what was posted on his photobucket account so the pics don't show up.

At least you'd have some history with it if you bought it. 99% of the time it's a shot in the dark. I'm sure Brett would tell you if there were any problems. Good luck.

Sup Todd, just got an email on my phone. Very capable JK offroad, drives great on road. Bought an 08 Silverado LTZ Z71 Crew Cab 4x4, considering building another rig down the road maybe.

Has dual tops unless they lost it, softtop went with it.

hey man...thanks for all the info......I feel secure now knowing that it was yours and it wasnt built by some yaywho who had no idea what they were doing. For the most part I know I want to try to buy it but there is still a small part of me thats not totally willing to give up my truck.....Its all gonna come down to what kind of deal the wanna give me I guess...Thanks again Sas...

Good luck on your decision Todd. Did all the work myself except gears and the modified rails.

LOL, I'm pretty sure that's the pic I took at Hidden Falls for Bret. We were at a point on Renee's Regret that had a drop off and tree stump that was bending mirror brackets and eating license plate brackets. At that point most of us turned around.

Wellllll......as much as I hate to disappoint everyone, I have decided to NOT buy SASQUATCH's old rig!!! As awesome as it is, there is just no way a 2 door will work for me as a daily driver, main reason being is that I have an 11 yr old son that is 6 ft tall and weighs 225 lbs, there is no way he could ever climb in the back seat of that thing. I knew this before I even went to look at it but I was hoping there would be some miraculous caverness space for him to climb in and out of....well,theres not...lol... There are a few things wrong just like SAS pointed out...power sterring gearbox still leaks,vent control knob doesnt work properly,front locker light blinks....nothing major, but they are asking $24,900....it will need tires very soon,no rear bumper,no spare,and soft top is no longer with it...salesman acted like there was quite a bit of room for negotiating and he did say they bought it at auction...It does drive good and tight and it was built right..BASICALY,its everything I ever wanted in a JK except that it is just no practical for me at this juncture of my life.. For someone with no kids or for a 2nd vehicle it is ideal....ANYWAY....I guess I will go back to lurking in the shadows...unless I go repo the 4dr back from the exwife....it is all still in my name....Nah, couldnt do that to her,thats her baby and I bought it for her as a gift!!

A 6', 225lb 11 year old shouldn't be sitting in the back anyway!
