Going to Padre

This weekend we will load the Wrangler up on the trailer and take it with us to Port Aransas. We'll do a bit of driving down the beach while we are there. We will also be doing some work on the boat. Wouldn't mind saying hi to any locals down in the area while we are there. We will be staying on our boat at Island Moorings in Port A.

Who else is in? This would be a great chance to get together as a chapter hit up one of the A.P. resturants...

We had a great time meeting the Pirate and Kerry and Sarah! We hit the trails on the north side of the CC Ship Channel near the ferry landing. Some good trails and some good hills too. All of those we tore it up with are first rate folks!

The breakage, The Pirate broke the shaft coming out of his steering box.



Luckily we had our Super Duty and trailer at the marina and hauled him back to the house.





Kenny took it in stride and is a good guy!



We were glad to help out another Jeeper and meet some great folks. I look forward to meeting more of the group.

Kenny was on the phone locating a part before we even got it loaded!! LOL! That's dedication for ya! We can't wait to get back out with ya'll again. We had a blast! We will still be trailering the Wrangler down so we can get a bit crazy and tow it back if it breaks. Hope you folks like pics! Here are some more.

We are looking at getting back down this coming weekend. We will do a bit of wheeling, but really need to get a lot done on our boat for the summer. Once we have the kinks worked back out, we will sponsor an off shore fishing trip for some of ya'll down there!

Here's the boat. We need to do a bunch of TLC on it before we go back offshore. Our mechanic is working on it now and we will be doing a complete buff out and shine.

Raul, It's a pretty easy fix, just waiting on parts that'll be here tomorrow.

LOL, gotta wait for the mechanic to give me a time frame. As soon as possible from where I'm sitting. We'll be back this weekend to do what we can on the old girl. I think I'm gonna have to replace dual control stations and cables! The throttle and transmission controls are getting really bad. I'm taking them apart this weekend to get an idea if its the levers, the cables, or both.

I wish I would have been able to come, I was writing a capstone paper. If you do come back down this coming weekend, Were throwing an install party to put my lift kit on with wheels and tires. Its in Portland so it's on the way, feel free to stop by.
