| So I'm thinking about getting new wheels and tires. I really like the look of 16" wheels, so thinking I want to go that route. I have auto with 4.10's I really don't want to go to a 35" tire since this is my DD, and I'm a bit of a lead foot- currently on 32" BFG's I'm getting about 13-14mph (all city driving). I'm sure George and Jennie are going to tell me the 35's will be fine and I should go with those And I haven't ruled that out either because if I go with 35's, I would just keep my existing 17" rims thus even out the price difference. Though I would really prefer to put on some new wheels too. Obviously a 33" tire on a 16" wheel is going to be pretty heavy- approximately the equivalent weight of a 34" on 17's (of course it won't be as much, but you know what I mean). So the question is, will putting 33's on 16" wheels rob my power, rape my mileage, and make O/D un-usable? Would this pretty much be the same as power stealing as putting 35's on my 17" wheels? | |

| If you would ever considered a set of 35's, do it now when you are upgrading. Several times over the last few years I've bought tires only to buy another set before the first wore out only because I didn't buy what I really wanted the first time. | |

but realize 33's wont make much difference from what you have now on the trail Yeah, I know... I'm thinking cosmeticly, which is probably a mistake because then I'll wish I had bigger on the trail. I'm going to go back to thinking about it..... again

| I'm leaning toward the 33's with new wheels... my reasoning
35's with stock rims will require spacer- so add on another $200. Whereas with 33's and new rims I can get 4.25 back spacing and be set
35's- the speedometer will be off more than it is with 33's (33's I probably won't even notice the difference). Add another $200 if I want to have the speedometer corrected on 35's
I would indeed like to have 35's for wheeling. But reality is that the vast majority of my driving in city driving. I've been wheeling pretty good with my 32" BFG's. And while the 35's would allow me to "do more", I just am starting to feel that the extra off-road ability isn't really justified for the costs involved.

| I'll sale you a set of spacers for $150 and I'll bring them to your door step. Oh and the correcting the speedo becomes pointless once you get use to thinking 10%-20% more then what your speedo is telling you | |

and there are some smoking deals to be had on the old km's right now as the will be discontinued in a couple of months

| I would spend my money on BFG`s. Like G said, best wearing A/T & M/T around IMO. Thats all I`ve been running for years. So if you decide on BFG`s, make sure they`re the size you want, cuz they`ll be around for quite a while. | |
