Transmission took a crap on my XJ. Front pump seal leaking, Perfect. Mad Just installed the header in Oct. now gotta pull it back off.

Oh i can pull it and re-install it, they send off thier trans. to get rebuilt. The person that rebuilds them wants $1000.00 just for the bench work.

How about a low mileage replacement from car-part.com or one of our local yards? Keep the original and rebuilt it later if needed.

It's an AW4, I assume, yes? If so, finding a used 4x4 example in decent shape is hard enough, much less one that's specifically set up for a '90.

If it's something else, then I don't know. I just know finding my '98+ 4x4 AW4 locally was a grueling process.
