Canyons Off Road Park

Looks like I should make it out for this one after all. After the pursuasion from Renny and Sascha. I went to Canyons for the King of the Canyons but have not yet wheeled this park. I am looking forward to it.

I am meeting my two other buddies at 7AM at the Exxon on I10/hwy 46 in Boerne.
They are not on this forum.

So it looks like me and Renny will be camping friday night. Anyone know how late Canyons is open? I need to see if we will have time to make it. Also, would anyone possibly be interested in giving a nice, cute, young, single girl a ride in their Jeep on the trails?

well.. my rubi is getting the front diff fixed... turns out the last shop that "fixed it" didnt put the shims back in so im having the backlash set... The Rat is out of propane and monday is the fastest i can get it fillled... so im out rigless this weekend... ;( but i'll be at the gun show in Fredericksburg sunday!

Fun trip guys, sorry you missed it Sascha. The "cute" girl got wasted and hungover and never showed up. But yeah she would have fit your requirements haha. Pics and vids coming soon!

Started getting the Jeep ready. Put all my tools together, cleaned the ice chest, was about to take off the hard top. Then I saw this orange skid plate in the corner in my garage. I nearly lost it about a month ago, completely forgot about it. Didn't have the bolts to put the skid back under the Jeep, and all stores were closed.
Looked underneath and considered running with it for the weekend, but as the skid has taken a lot of hits over the years, I assumed it was protecting something for a reason.

Saw the pictures, looked like a lot of fun. Guess it will be Long's Ranach next trip out.
Installed the skid today.

Twas a nice trip. Had fun, Mo pics on my end really but lots of videos. Some trail damage and all but on me as my jeep just sat there looking like a sexy mall crawler with a trailer attached to it. Getting a budget boost soon along with a few other things. Pretty good turn out. A lot more then what I was expecting.

Valid, Sascha, we saw some serious skid plate beatings go down. But man your JK wheel base would have done some crazy stuff there.

I've been to canyons before, and really like the trails there.
The skid I was missing was the one for my transmission and the exhaust runs right there near the cross member. The skid had taken some good abuse over the years, and knew that is where shit likes to hit my Jeep.
It's a $5 fix, however, I was not willing to risk a hundred+ of $$$ in damage.

My dad in his stock-height LJ Rubi encountered his transfer case skid a few times as well

austin .. how do manage to not tear the fog lights off the front bumper?? kick ass videos! wish i coulda made it out...
