Hey, I know you! Glad you are here. I pointed this feller here from the new JKFreaks.com forum. If any of you decide to check it out, just tell them Hook-em sent ya.

As he mentioned, he's got this new rig with these fancy tires and a 2.5" lift. What do you all say we get a Jeep Nation installation party in the plans and help this guy out? Oh, he didn't mention his C-Gussets but he has some of them too.

Any takers? If so, I throw a thread up for planning purposes.

Welcome! What's your name?

How do you like the Pentastar V6? What gearing do you have now, and have you considered going deeper for the larger tires?

Thanks guys, I'm James. The pentastar is awesome! It's definitely more peppier than 2011 I test drove. It has 3.73 gearing, and as of right now I have no plans on regearing. I saw a gearing chart on another forum for the 2012's, and it looks like it shouldn't be a problem.

That's alright. But it's not free. I know there are some other people that need stuff installed. Heck, I'm gonna be one of them too. I think Longarm has the same lift as you and he wants to install it. We really shoud have an installation party. I'm gonna post a thread for one after the March 10th BBQ event for Joe.

Looks great. Really jealous of your tires...how about we swap (I have 33" KM2s) so you don't have to worry about re-gearing!!??!!

Welcome to the club, Talk to Marcus at river city offroad and he will hook you up with some gears. Also, go 4.88, you will not regret that with 35's and an automatic. One more thing, AEV make a procal that will reprogram your transmission so you don't go into limp mode. I heard that is a problem in all of the new Jeeps.

Happy trails and hope to see you in March at longs.

Tyler.

If you're running 35's with an automatic you WANT to run 5.13's if you are running a manual run 4.88's you can get the gears from Marcus at Rivercity Off Road. Go with Superior gears, they are a lot less of a headache to install. They won't require a complete re-shimming.

Good point. I'd be willing to bet he doesn't need the lower gears like us poor 3.8L runners do.

While we are on the subject of lifts for a 2012, did you have to do anything with your exhaust crossover tube or you tcase skid. I've heard there can be problems with those and the front drive shaft. You might want to take a look to see if you are close to those items.

I forgot it's a 2012. I found a chart on another forum and with 35's I probably would run 4.30's or 4.56'sto get back to stock and maybe 4.88's if you want a good rock crawling gear.

I had to use TF exhaust spacers. And I guess I overreacted about the gears. It's not that bad actually, I just have to step on it a lil bit more haha. Getting about 18 mpg now. And yes I already have a procal cheers
