Headed to Port A next thursday!

Hey Courpus area guys, I am looking to head down to the sand bowl on padre and then make a little 15 run down PINS and shoot up Yarbourgh Pass just for fun. If anyone wanted to join up and wheel for half a day and maybe get some eats or drinks in Port A hit me up. It would be cool to meet some of you Courpus area guys. And as always, I'm bringing cameras to documment the fun and adventures!

How long you staying, Im headed down on Friday and staying a week. I was planning on heading down PINS on Sunday. They are having their meet and great either Friday or Saturday night too.

If it is Friday I may go! I head back Saturday afternoon/evening

Be VERY careful driving in "the bowl" right now. The turtles are hatching at the moment and the "turtle patrol" is out and about in that area. They WILL call the park rangers on you and they WILL ticket you.

Shakedown said it right. You can take the beach drive all day long, just don't wheel in the dune. Hope to see you at the meet and greet man.

Damn! You guys have go topless day there and then tell me it's a bad idea! That place looks awesome. But I so also like sea turtles

haha GTD was a BLAST but the turtles were not hatching then so nobody bothered us. We got warned a few times but it didn't stop us. It is a uber fun place to wheel but it's not worth the $500-$1000 fine for driving in the dunes and getting caught.

Cool man, just a heads up, my wheeeling window may be small. Having the whole family out there and I'll probably only have some time to try and get my sister's boyfriend to catch the jeep bug.

I'll tell you what, I'm GLAD they don't let us wheel in the dunes!!!!! I've down in Mexico just south of the border, believe it or not it's called Bagdad (without the h) Beach. And they wheel in the dunes ALL DAY LONG. Everything from bone stock to "Holy $hit look at that" and the dunes look like $hit. Everything is just torn up BAD!!!! As a wheeler I thought it was SWEEEET, and after a while I started looking around and the beaches and dunes where nowhere near as pretty as they are in Texas.

Yeah that is understandable, I wanna go to pismo! I saw some awesome dunes in Oregon, with no beaches to destroy

Pretty sure a saw some SUVs stuck out in the smaller bowl late in the evening. Didn't go get em due to these warnings. And my girlfriend's dress. Pulled out a yota in Port A of all places. Parked over a rock by the pier haha. A woman was driving

We got woke up at 0300 Saturday morning by three chicks in a sable stuck beyond the frame bout 200 yards south of us. took me and hour to dig far enough to find metal to winch em out.

How was PINS? pretty disappointed we had to leave. Can't seem to find the problem with the J10.

Pretty crowded at first. But shot up yarborough pass like 8 times for fun and had a blast. Crawled on some logs. Dug in the Jeep in 2 wheel and challenged the gf the drive out haha
