Pirate 4x4 and fellow off-roader's family tragedy.

I am waiting for acceptance of the final idea, but it looks like across many Jeep community forums that we may be putting together a "show of support" by each sending a card with $1 in it for Gavan to show him support in the time of losing his wife and child in one day. Will keep everyone posted once I hear something! If the lean forward on this happens, the owners of Pirate Media Group would provide their POBox for everyone to send the card with $1 in it each and they would box all the cards up and send forward to him!

Wow. That's terrible. I often find myself stressing out about the little things in life - balancing work while running after a 4 year old and 2 year old and trying to keep the wife happy...and now a puppy too. When you hear about tragedies like that, it makes you realize how short life can be and you shouldn't sweat the small stuff (easier said than done though). This is just a terrible tragedy, my thoughts will be with him and the rest of his family.

Good lord! I'm sitting here crying after reading that. What a horrific thing to go through. Prayers for this family.

Wow, that's a horrible time and feeling for this father and husband to go thru. Any way we can help or anything we can do I am willing. My prayers go out to this family.

I read about the accident in the paper. So terrible to hear especially since I have a 9 month old daughter. Even more so knowing it was someone in our jeep community.

Okay everyone, great news! The owners of Pirate Media Group, Pirate 4x4 and JKOwners liked my suggestion for all of us in the Jeep/Off-Road community to send a sealed card with $1 (or whatever everyone would like to send) to Gavan. They have posted up their PO Box for everyone to send the cards and they will bulk rate USPS mail all the cards to Gavan to show our Community support to him! :beer:
