Tera FlexAxle Sleeve & Gusset Kits

Anybody in Corpus done one of these kits and willing to help out installing on my rig?? Will be doing the front and rear. Thanks in advance.

Dern, myself and a few others in SA have done them on the front axle. I've never heard of doing the sleeves on the rear axle but that's not to say it can't be done. The front seems to be the weak spot and beefing up the tube wall is a good idea.

Have you heard of failures with the tube wall on the rear axle? I have not seen that even with those of us who have ran hemi's, 37's and larger in the JK. Just some food for thought. You might want to save the money from the rear axle and put it to something else higher on the priority list.

Thanks Tim. I have heard the D30 front with 37's needs to be done for sure but I wasn't sure on the rear D44. How difficult is the install?? The videos I've watched look like it's out of my mechanical comfort zone.

It's not too bad. If you pull the axle out, it will be easier to weld. Use plug welds on axle tube and then weld it into the end of the axle on the outboard sides. Be careful about your temps. If you get the axle too hot it will FUBAR your seals and then you'll have diff lube coming out the ends when you run it. Just take your time and let the welds cool off properly. Work one side, then the other and wait.

I installed a RSE shell, sleeves, c gussets and poly performance LCA skids on the axle. Here are a few pics to give you an idea.

Oh, and if you plan to wheel it be careful on that d30. Ask Marcus at RCO about his D30 explosion.

The D30 can be beefed but you will still have limitations that must be respected.
