Alright here it is! The Moab of Texas, and the best wheeling I have ever experienced. I know we talked club run in April, but that does not look like an option. So what are we thinking?

One of the best, if not the best, wheeling event of the year!!
Special fees apply!!
Three full days of wheeling (Thurs., Fri., Sat)
No wheeling on Wednesday (arrival/tech inspection) or Sunday (travel home)
BBQ dinner and raffle.
Live music two nights!!

Friday night = Two Tons of Steel (www.twotons.com) You don't want to miss these guys!
Saturday night = Matt Stell and the Crashers (www.mattstell.com) A favorite band of ours, they are sure to bring a good time.

As always, during this event, all active duty service members wheel for free.

are these the only days K2 is open? I couldn't make any of these if I tried.

As a club we are going to try and get them have an open weekend for us on the second weekend of April. This is probably their first half of the year schedule I think they will post more dates.

pending on how my final schedule looks the first weekend in April would be great. Any club trips to anything else prior to that though?

Nothing official. Canyons opening weekend is January 26th amd 27th. This weekend is a good run at HF. Mid Feb is run. I

I want to run Trees pretty soon as well

I have interest in trees as I have a place to stay in Leaky (just found out that is there) so hotels, camping etc wont be an issue. What's Tree's like?

It looks sweet. LOTS of trails. When did you want to run Trees? Maybe we can get something going somewhere. I'm getting the itch if you know what I mean.

I am itching too. I need to swap a knuckle and get my brake lines extended first through. Let me look at the now extensive calendar and see what I can sort out

Calendar's get extensive in a hurry. Let me know either here, on facebook, or whatever. Lets see if we can't put something together toward the middle or end of February.

Alright it is official we are trying to get together at least 30 rigs to open an event for April 12th-14th. We need as many rigs as possible to commit to a $60 weekend fee ASAP

Who wants to wheel at K2 this Saturday?

I'm still in for the April date (if we end up with enough rigs to get the park), but either way, I want to try our K2 this Saturday. Who else wants to try that out Saturday as well?

Landrod the April run is secured, we are on the schedule. Sitting pretty at about 36 rigs. I am sure there will be plenty of people out at K2, just maybe not from this group. I think a Doug Cotton will be out there is a blue yj with mertal cloaks. You can't miss that. I will double check with him. If you have a facebook I could connect you with him. My full name is Austin Frazier Smith. Should be easy to find.

I'll be there too, I also have a few buddies who may want to tag along, driving a 97+ XJ and a YJ, I can't remember what years they are.

Cool. Let's plan to meet up Saturday. CB channel 4. IntenseBlueSwamper says that "Doug Cotton will be out there in a blue yj with metal cloaks" He has been there before, so he is familiar with K2.

We have been messaging via FB. He says that he will probably get there around 9am Saturday morning and likely under the oak trees across from the front office.

Goood deal. Have fun out there. That place is awesome. But take it slow, not like Canyons!

I'm going in April, it's too soon right now for me to do anything, almost done breaking in my new gears, plus I have a pair of knuckles that need to go in, been neglecting them too long.
