| Subject: Broken E-brake @ Boulder update Wed 04 Jun 2008, 10:19 pm | |
| So today I finally was able to take my jeep in for the second time trying to get my e brake fixed after it sheared at Boulder. The Jeep dealer wouldn`t warranty the break saying it was caused by the lift. Whatever. Anyhow, they were cool about it in the end and went halves with me on everything. Ended up costing me $135. The part that gets me is that when I had the lift put on, they couldn`t use the rear hangers cuz the tension was too tight, so they left them hanging. After the break, I put them in the hanger thinking that might help the tention. It didn`t, buit I left them on anyway. Well, when I took her in, they put the cable back and said the cable was too tight.Duh. Like I said ....whatever. But the best part is the used pipe strap from Home Depot to re-hang it!!! And shop supplies were about $30 And they`ll warranty the "pipe strap" for 12 months | |

| I hate Jeep Dealers! But I have a few here in the Houston area that are pretty good at helping out and taking care of that nasty warrenty claim | |
