Engine Swap in Corpus Christi?

Greetings all!

Hope this is the right forum for this questions.  I have a 2001 XJ that has the wonderful 0331 head crack issue.  I've called a few local shops and they all want to install a new engine for $4K-$6K.  Does anyone have a review or recommendation for a good mechanic in Corpus Christi that will install a used engine without needing a jar of vasoline?  My Jeep spends a lot of time on PINS and between the rust and tight budget (about $2K) I really don't want to go the new engine rout.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
