One Year Old!

One year ago today, my 2 month search for a loaded Jeep Green Unlimited X with auto, tow package and hardtop came to an end.





At the time, I knew nothing about JK's, or and 4wd vehicle for that matter. I had no intention of wheeling it, no intention of modifying it. Basically thought it was awesome looking, would be easy for the kids to get in/out, and had enough room in the back for the weekly trips to get groceries.

Then, that little 4wd shifter down there started bugging me. I just had to see what that thing was all about. So we hooked up with a 4wd club, and made a trip to the off road park.

This one trip: I learned that Disco wasn't a dance, I learned that the stock JK can do things I was not comfortable (yet) doing with it, learned how exciting and fun wheeling is, learned about the camaraderie of wheeling, and (most importantly) learned what a spotter is and to trust/listen to the spotter







I was hooked. Soon after this, I discovered JK forum (yeah, I know! but face it, most of us met on that forum, so gotta give kudos)

and have been broke every since!















Man! 1 year ago today I was sitting there nervously signing the papers, wondering if I was doing the right thing. Worried that buying a Jeep would be a mistake. I had no idea how my life was about to change! In one short year I have had so much fun, made so many new friends, learned so much about my machine, wheeling, and myself. And not only that, but the family has become closer together doing something we all enjoy. And you ALL have been a huge part of this past year!! You are all like family to us now, and I'm happy to have met every one of you! Who knew a Jeep would change our lives in such a positive way. I guess this is the true meaning of "It's a Jeep thing"!
