| just got off the phone with tomball dodge: these damn clips are $5.38 each and the book says i need 11 of them plus some of the plastic screws at $1.44 each. the guy on the phone thinks 11 is the amount for both left and right rears combined. So i'm going to clean it all up tonight and really look at what i need but damn they are expensive. | |

| thanks for the tip. if they work i'll pick up some extras at that price. i'm still working on getting everything clean. spent sevral hours with the pressure washer last night. doing some research, seems those arrowhead clips were about .40 something cents each up until about dec of last year when they suddenly jumped to over $2 each. then sometime they jumped again to the $5 now. supply and demand | |

| i'd like to go with ya'll (to shilo) but i gotta stay close to home for awhile. the one comming up next march looks like it may be doable. until then i can't be that far away from home so it's the creek for me. i have plans for this weekend, plus it looks like i'll be buying and installing $60 worth of plastic clips

i have plans for this weekend, plus it looks like i'll be buying and installing $60 worth of plastic clips Funny thing, last friday I went in to order a new, painted fender. By the time was all said and done, they wanted > $300 for a painted fender (the $150 "paint-to-match" fender, is well, black and expecting that you will "paint-to-match".). So, I said, HRRRMMM. Turns out a set of 4 black textured fenders is $320. So, I bought those. While the new ones came with new body-pins, they wanted $2/pop for the inner fender rivets. I told 'em to shove those up their.... I purchased some .310 plastic screw-style rivets (no need to replace them everytime, they are re-usable) for $1/ea, and I won't have to worry about those. Lowes was low on any of that stuff, bought most at pep boys, well, all they had, and still missing a few for the front (I have 2 black, 2 green fenders now =) - waiting on them to re-stock as autozone was out too. Now, you don't actually _need_ all of the body-mount pins, it'll hold pretty tight with every other in place (don't ask how I know =) - but, it's hard to remove a functional one and place it elsewhere without breaking it. You can, however, lift up _slightly_ on either end of the flat plate, and stick a small slotted screw-driver under it. Repeat on the other side, then you can push the two screwdrivers together and pull them back to remove it from the body. If it doesn't seem to give soon, stop pulling, the plastic is hard and breaks easily. Jennie - I may be up for Sunday, or Saturday, have to check w/ the lady. If she's ok with going, then we'll go on Sunday, so I can work on a project I need to get done while she's working on sat. Otherwise, I'll have to go on sat and get behind on my project. !c | |

| I went to O'riley's this weekend and got some of the screws. For the plastic clips simply go down to HD or Lowes and get nut rivets...they are inserts typically used in wood applications and fiberglass so you don't overtighten and crack the material. Get some of those and some screws...no more clips..that's what I plan on doing when I ruin my clips. | |
