September Jeep Nation Meeting (SA Chapter)

Hello Jeep Nation Members,

Our next meeting is set for September 21st at 6pm, I thought we could go to Bigz again unless you guys have another suggestion.

any place is fine with me as long as im hanging out with friends


where is bigz and at what time

Bigz is on 1604 at Huebner. It is a red building, you can see it from the highway. I think you live south so if you are coming up from there you will need to exit Huebner / Bitters (I think), go through the light (Bitters) then do a turn around at Huebner stay on the access rd its on the right. 6pm

I'm there

I have initiated contact with Gunnery Sergeant Llanes, the SA toys for
Tots representative. I should have all the info at the meeting on the
21st. I invited him to attend to speak about the program and am
waiting for a response.

If anyone has a drop box location identified please let me know. We have to reserve the boxes before they are all gone.

JKX0778 has committed to one at his dad's shop.

I plan to make fliers and distribute them in the neighborhood. Will
also hit up people at work. Any other ideas are appreciated. Any
events you attend may be productive. Anyone asked if you can put a box
at your kids school? No word yet on events but I should have more info
by meeting time.

i have talked to my work and they said no prob. they would be glad to house a box for us all they are asking is for some typy of document that that is who indeed we are collecting for so the sooner i can get that the better i would hate for someone else to beet us to it

You might want to discuss this further with the toys for tots program as I have been informed that they set it all up. In other words, there aren't drop boxes around town that you can put where you like. You let them know you are participating, and they send a few people out to collect. That way nobody is ever accountable for the toys. If we are going to get involved with this organization, we need to do it legit by their standards. Like I said, this is something that has been brought to my attention. So if I am mistaken, please advise.

From what I have read on their site so far you have to reserve boxes. Whether they set them up or we do, we have to get places identified to get boxes reserved before they are gone. I will clarify that with GySgt Llanes.
