Grease for grease gun

Back when I put my JKS quick disco's on, I went and bought a mini grease gun from Home Depot. The cartridge was the normal ol multi-purpose grease.

I recently ran out of grease and headed back to Home Depot for replacement cartridges. Picked up a package of 3 cartridges and went home. When I got home, I discovered that they were cartridges of Lithium grease. I got lazy and did nothing. Went back to Home Depot last week intent on purchasing the multi-purpose grease cartridges only to discover all the had were the lithium cartridges.

OK... So the only thing I really use the grease gun for is the JKS disco's. Will the lithium grease be ok to use with them- the lithium seems like it is "thinner" than the multi-purpose grease. And if the lithium is ok to use with the JKS's, is the lithium grease compatible with the multi-purpose grease that is already in the JKS's?

you should be fine. autozone and o'reillys carries multipurpose though

Wonder if they have the small cartridges that go in the mini grease guns (like I have)?
