So I have the the week off. Started installing the Rough Country coils and shocks yesterday. Due to my own mistakes, it took a lot longer. By the time I had the fronts on, I was so wiped out I couldn't continue. So I called it a day and planned on doing the rear today.
Ran a bunch of errands this morning. Then at noon I was ready to hit it. Got ready to take the rear wheels off and couldn't find the key to the Gorilla lock lugnut <damnit!!!> We searched every where, it grew legs and walked off. After an hour of looking to no avail- I then noticed I had a nail in my rear tire
Headed off to Discount Tire to see if they had some way to get the Gorilla lock off, and remove the nail. They tried everything they had trying to get that Gorilla lock off, and had no luck- needless to say I still have a nail in the tire. The only option they had left was to break the lugs, which I declined. I have the registration info for the Gorilla, so rather than bust the lug I decided to just call Gorilla and have a new key overnighted to me. I guess this shows that the Gorilla locks are damn near theft proof though.
When I got home, my package from Quadratec had arrived- Warrior rocker panel covers. Great! I'll install those instead. Then I realized the damn things come un-drilled, you have to determine the points you want to mount yourself and then drill them arrrgggggggg... And the bends in the metal do not match the bends in the jeep exactly, which makes it a total nightmare to hold up against the jeep and try to determine where the best mounting points would be (why the hell can't they pre-drill these things!!!!). Needless to say, this is a 2 person job and I don't have a 2nd person. So now that job is shelved.
An entire day of vacation shot, and nothing accomplished. Just needed to vent!
