in serious need of a nerd

my mother in law bought my wife a new lap top for x mass
i am pretty much a computer idiot and dont know how to set it up
and she has no patients to do it her self can any one help in this situation please

there is nothing at all to setting up a laptop these days. They are all shipped with Windows Vista installed which is an extremely simple operating system to set up. The first time she boots up it will ask a series of questions. Then you're done. If she has a wireless internet set up in the house, Vista will automatically detect it and ask if you want to connect to it.

Yep, like Steve said - new laptops nowadays are a cinch to setup and after a couple questions, you're ready to go.
