| It's getting to be top-down season, and I have a zipper problem. It's on the back window of my 04 TJ. The damage is on the "top" half of the zipper, not the "window" half, and I don't really want to replace the whole top. Any recomendations where I can get this fixed in the Houston area? | |

| Welcome to the forum hbennick. I only have a hardtop, so some of the others will have to chime in. I am sure that there is a specialty store that could, worse case scenario, saw in a new zipper without having to buy whole new window. We are having an install party on Jan 3rd, might want to bring it with you. Lot's of Jeepers will be willing to help you out. | |

| If you can come to the install party the guys can look at it, if it is broke it might take someone in upholstery to fix it. | |

| If it is stuck, you can try a bar of Ivory soap. I've used it before on my tackle bags at the beach, and it works wonders. Just rub the soap on the zipper teeth and then work the zipper back and forth until it starts to move, little more soap, little more zipper back and forth, until its unstuck. If it really is messed up, I don't know of anybody here in Houston that could/would repair it. Maybe a seamstress??? | |

| The soap & WD-40 trick work great if it's just corroded. If it's busted and needs to be replaced, try an upholstery shop or canvas/vinyl awning shop. You will probably have to remove the top. | |
