| Hello, I am new to this forum and just wanted to introduce myself ,I am a longtime jeep fan and have owned several jeeps in the last 25 years I have hade a couple of cj 5's and I now own a Tj I have not done a lot of organized jeep events ,just a couple of trips to the beach with the Houston Jeep people but I had a lot of fun ,my jeeps not a rock crawler or anything it has a few minor mods ,like a 1" BL and a 2" budjet lift and some larger tires and disconnects but it is a lot of fun to drive , I am hoping to meet a few folks closer to my age (54) that I can talk with at some of these events my wife and I have enjoyed ourselfs at the two events that we have attended but we kind of feel out of place because most of the folks are in their 30's . | |

I don't blame you Dan. Just lock your doors and watch out for your retirement savings. Those guy's are hungry for Jeep parts. Looking forward to wheeling with you. Not sure what type of wheeling you do, but we have K2 coming up for Memorial day weekend, and we are planning a beach trip to Corpus Christi for the last weekend in July. | after my 401 tanked on me I spent what was left of the retirement fund on the jeep I figured I might need it to get out of town when or if things get any worse ( shot gun, rifle, and a 4 wheel drive and a country boy can survive kinda thing) so I dont have to worry to much abought whats left, the pickins is slim . I will not be able to make the Memorial Day run as I have a Family Reunion to go to but the beach thing sounds pretty good . As far as wheeling I try to keep the wheels pointed in the down position beyond that most anything goes. | |
