| Subject: 2008Rubi-JK How do I make my own front winchmount? Tue 27 Jul 2010, 12:40 am | |
| I'm looking to install a front winch. I've seen the front kits for stock front bumper. If I was to make my own (I think I have everything needed) - does anyone have any detailed pic's on how to make one? I have ΒΌ" plate, and 3/8 plate that I can use. Any threads I can use? Or best to just get a used one or otherwise find one for sale? Lookin' to make my own front bumper eventually too. Thanks.... | |

| Or you could just buy my front bumper for $200.00 and make it easy. With the plus being that it is something you couild customize and build off of down the road. | |

| put a receiver hitch on the front bumper, then put a comfy chair on the 2" post for the wife to sit on. be sure you put in seatbelts to properly strap down the winch. | |

| I'd use the 3/8" plate. you should try to make it out to a meet-n-greet. we usually spend quite a bit of time looking over other jeeps and getting ideas for our builds. i'd look at a few of the winch bumpers to get ideas of what you want and where you want to mount it on your bumper. | |
