After 2 and a half months of BS, runaround, and frustration, the Wench is street legal. My wife picked up the plates and registration yesterday so we are good to go, I can drive down the street without fear of getting pulled over.
The inspection was BS'd and I still need to fix the turn signal arm but it works well enough. Still no wipers.....

The YJ has a GM steering column, the turn signal and wiper switch is together, correct? I carry a puller and a lock plate tool in my truck, so let me know if I can help.
Congrats on bein' half-assed legal...... that is a great feeling (it is also where I reside most of the time).

Just for kicks and grins:
We went to Natural Bridge Caverens this morning and then out to our place in the afternoon. I hold out hope that I just have to find the right rabbit hole that opens into a magnificent cavern out there....meh, maybe not but I'll keep looking.
Found a 'new' one today, can crawl a good 40 ft back until the tunnel turns and there is room to keep going but I wasn't dressed or prepared for it. Soon.
