My jeep is in the shop :-(

Yesterday while I was cleaning the sand/salt off the Jeep, I noticed a lot of sand stuck to the inside of the rim on the rear driver's side. I thought that was really strange- any sand on the rim should have blown off during that long drive home. I wiped it with my finger, and it was wet. Crawled underneath and could see fluid had been leaking from the axle Cleaned it all up good. Went out this morning and there was a small puddle on the inside of the rim

I just got back from dropping it off at the dealership. Hopefully they will cover it under warranty- I'm concerned they will say the 35's caused it. But... When I dropped it off the service tech said "it will probably be covered under warranty". Of course what the service tech thinks and what the service manager decides can be two different things. I'm hoping the service manager just ignores the larger tires.

I'm also hoping they actually have an axle seal in stock. Otherwise they'll have to order it, and who knows how long it will take to get it in and get the job done.

Anyway... Got a bunch of running around to do today, which is going to be "fun" in the Hippy Jeep Chick Jeep Oh well, at least its not a mini van

Still haven't heard anything back, so I called them just now. They told me the guy that handles all the axle repairs has 2 vehicles in the stall already, so they probably won't even be able to check it out until tomorrow

Yeah, I put a bunch of miles on it today running the kids to eye doctor and dentist, along with other errands. I just made a point to NOT make eye contact with anyone, especially guys, and particularly other jeeps! Yup, I did not give the Jeep wave today LOL

Man that sucks. Renne jinxed me, on my way home my driver side seat belt retractor went bad like my passenger side did. Nearly killed me because it got so tight. Now I'm just trying to get my new seat belts installed and working right

BTW if the seal is bad call Geo and he should be able to pull a seal from my old axles

Well... they just called to tell me it was definitely the axle seal (DUH! I already told them that!). And they don't have the seal in stock. So now they have to wait for the seal to be delivered tomorrow or Friday

The good news is that they are covering it under warranty
