| If you are reading this I would like you to know that no what in hell will I buy a product from you as long as you support a website that bans members for such ridiculous reasons. Mentioning that you have a product from a different vendor is grounds for being banned. While I realize you are in business to make money, know that silencing your competition is not the proper way to do business. By paying to be a part of that forum, you basically are condoning the actions taking place on that site.
This thread will contain a list of the banned members and how much they have spent modding their Jeeps, so you can see what you affiliation with jk-forum.com is actually going to cost you.
jk-fredd0 - $8,000 so far and I have either a supercharger or hemi-swap planned in the future. | |

| I'm not sure of the exact amount.... quit counting a long time ago. But I'm in the neighborhood of $8-10K but I already stopped going with some of their advertisers, such as a polyperformance lift and will probably go with the River Raider tube fenders instead of the ORE... because they have chosen not to renew their sponsorship of said forum.. | |

- Joe already said good stuff, but I'll chime in anyway....
I wouldn't base my decision whether to buy from one company or another based on which yellow pages they choose to advertise in. The same goes for which internet sites they advertise on.
Base your decision on their customer service, their products (if a manufacturer), their stock, their price, or any other criteria that are meaningful to you. I guess it follows that if advertising on this site or that is meaningful to you, then that's your choice--but I'd bet you'll be hard pressed to find many who advertise exclusively on a single site you disagree with. I think most diversify as best they can, that's how you can reach the most potential customers anyway. my answer to this - jennie wrote:
- I agree with the vendors totally, I understand it's about making your business better...everyone wants to make money...and there is no harm in that at all.
On the other hand I also understand where some of these people are coming from.
The People who run the other forum have all developed a God complex over the years and have begun to treat their members like crap...the thought of them loosing some of their Sponsors might bring them back down to reality.
Make them understand that they are no better then anyone else.....
I think what most here are trying to say is they want the folks who run the other site to come down off of their high horse...and the only way that will happen is if the loose some of their sponsors
just my 2 cents | |
