A message to vendors on jk-forum.com

If you are reading this I would like you to know that no what in hell will I buy a product from you as long as you support a website that bans members for such ridiculous reasons. Mentioning that you have a product from a different vendor is grounds for being banned. While I realize you are in business to make money, know that silencing your competition is not the proper way to do business. By paying to be a part of that forum, you basically are condoning the actions taking place on that site.


This thread will contain a list of the banned members and how much they have spent modding their Jeeps, so you can see what you affiliation with jk-forum.com is actually going to cost you.



jk-fredd0 - $8,000 so far and I have either a supercharger or hemi-swap planned in the future.

I'm not sure of the exact amount.... quit counting a long time ago.

But I'm in the neighborhood of $8-10K but I already stopped going with some of their advertisers, such as a polyperformance lift and will probably go with the River Raider tube fenders instead of the ORE... because they have chosen not to renew their sponsorship of said forum..

Only a few hundred so far....hey, I'm on a fixed income!!! (Donations accepted.) Mostly Rugged Ridge stuff, but what the heck, its a Rubicon!

I have not spent all that much on my Jeep Yet...but I am doing a full over haul on her Next month...

List of Items to be installed next month.......Gears, Lockers from Aussie,
new lift (will be from black diamond), Leather (from Classic Soft Trim), Body Armor from RockRash4x4, New Front Bumper from RockRash4x4, Tire Carried from RockRash4x4,

Total Dollar amount to be spent next month...3800.00

none of which will be purchased from Companies that support JK-Forum.com

Yes, Terrahawk spends about 3K a month on his heep those vendors should only hope to get his business....lol

Let's see....

Expedition One front bumper - $1100
Shrockworks sliders - $500
Shrock rear bump through Screaming Lizards - $1400
Shrock rear bumper gas can mounts and rubi rack - $800
Odds and ends through Northridge - $300


Plans - well over 7 grand. Non of which will go though one of their venders unless they quit supporting them.

I wouldn't base my decision whether to buy from one company or another based on which yellow pages they choose to advertise in. The same goes for which internet sites they advertise on.

Base your decision on their customer service, their products (if a manufacturer), their stock, their price, or any other criteria that are meaningful to you. I guess it follows that if advertising on this site or that is meaningful to you, then that's your choice--but I'd bet you'll be hard pressed to find many who advertise exclusively on a single site you disagree with. I think most diversify as best they can, that's how you can reach the most potential customers anyway.

Make them understand that they are no better then anyone else.....

I think what most here are trying to say is they want the folks who run the other site to come down off of their high horse...and the only way that will happen is if the loose some of their sponsors

my damage was only to the hood... 21 dents - not enought to claim. estimate is at $300 - deductible is $500
