| I know it is probably another stupid question, but my cruise control sucks. I have 4" lift with 35" tires and my cruise can not keep a steady speed. I even have issues with controling speed, it is constently reving up the motor to keep a certain speed with the cruise turned off. I have taken it to the dealer to adjust the speedo and still no better. Do I need to regear or is there another fix? thanks | |

| which gears did you go with? I plan on upgrading mine but it is going to be a little while. No cruise control on mine so I cannot help.... other than I understand that when you go bigger you need to regear unless you want it to run like a dog. And there is no such thing as a stupid question.... Redneck flames them all :flamingmad: I know a guy that regeared when he put 37s on and it runs like a dog when he hooks a camper to it... that sumbyotch will crawl straight up a wall if you want it too though... | |

i'm too tired to flame anyone so let me help...... two options....... regear...around 1000 buxs hemi.........starts at 26,000 buxs. you choose and fwiw, my shitpile still has stock 3.73 gearing, i have been nursing these stock axles for the last year...spending the least amount of money to get me by and saving for bigger axles....so far i have alloy shafts and an aussie up front , but i have a set of 4.88 gears out in the shop for it and will have an aussie out back before we go to trees as far as what gears to put in........dont listen to a gear chart or some guy at 4 wheel parts, get the 5.13's if its a x or sahara or 5.38 if its a rubi.........putting your gears "back to stock" ratio is not enough....must go lower if this dosent make sense call me and i will explain it better

I have an '07 with 4.10's. Even when I had the stock 32" tires, the cruise had trouble holding 70mph on any incline. When I added 35" I found I had to turn the OD off all the time for the cruise to work at all. When I re-programmed for larger tires, I regained the use of the cruise but only on flat stretches. On any incline at all I have to reach down and turn the OD off.
