| Don`t forget to balance & rotate those meats people.
The death wobble can occur with any 4x4 mounting big tires. It`s a steering oscillation that comes at speed on the highway. The primary cause is usually improperly balanced big tires. It can also be caused, or amplified, by loose steering components. Beyond correcting worn steering and suspension components, a good balance job will go a long way toward correcting the death wobble. A key element in balancing is to make sure the weights are placed on both sides of the rim, not just the inside. Not as pretty...but a much better balance job with big tires. The final element for death wobble avoidance is a beefy steering damper. ~ Jim Allen - offroad guru | |

| Marshall's death wobble was caused by worn componets, he had three track bars and a steering stabilizer on (installed with the lift and lockers)and one small bump and you were out of control it got bad very quick. He took it to Brutal Offroad and they showed him the worn componets. They took off all the track bars and put one new bar on and a new stabilizer and it works great now. | |

| There ya go! You can get too much of a good thing. Sometimes, things are way over engineered. Glad he got it taken care of. | |

| I agree rotating and balance are very important, I failed to mention that MArshall's troubles started after he put onthe 35's, I'm sure the componets were already wearing but the extra stress of those big tires didn't help. Discount states to roate every 3000 - 6000 miles or so depending on what you do with your vehicle. | |

| What is everyone's take on rotating the spare? I've heard/read mixed opinions. | |

| you should include the spare. I ran up too many miles on my 4 rolling, and didn`t introduce the spare. By the time I bal/rot, it was too late. I had too much tread gone. Discount told me I could run it, but I may run into gear/diff problems with that much difference in tread depth between the spare and worn ones. | |

| Yep, when I went to have my tires rotated that suggested I incorporate the spare. | |

| I do not suggest rotating you spare into the mix if you are planning on getting 35" tires soon and getting rid of those. If you are going to wear out the original tires then I say go ahead and rotate that tire into the mix. | |
