Bastrop Run April 18th & 19th

Looks like we need to cancel the event this weekend due to the rain that we have been having all morning. We can't wheel out there when it is wet to prevent damage to the guys pecan groves and property,,,,we are working on another event in mid June and will provide more information as we get it together. I can't get any of the maps to work right on Google or Yahoo for this place. Here is a link that is as close as I can get, BUT, YOU WILL TURN RIGHT </FONT>ON PLEASANT CHAPEL ROAD, NOT LEFT </FONT>and as soon as you turn right, it is right there, you will see an arena on the right and a gate, there is a gate directly across the road from the arena side and a large field, that is where wveryone will be staging...and to answer Joes question, I belive it is $20 per rig, per day, but you can confirm that with Rusty,,

The ranch is actually located in Cedar Creek on Pleasant Chapel Road. The name of the ranch is Walnut Creek Ranch. $20 bucks a rig and we plan on wheeling both days, as long as we have enough people that want to. I need to check with the owner if he is going to charge us $20 for each day or if he will let us wheel both days for $20.

I will get GPS coordinates and try to get a map together.

I should be able to make it out.. I got a buddy that lives near there with a jeep thats never wheeled.. where in Bastrop is it? how much per rig? wheeleing saturday AND sunday?

That looks like a really good time. Unfortunately, I will be out of town the 18th and 19th. Hopefully, I can make it the next time around.

A Bunch Of Poser Shots For Ya

Put me down as tentative, I will know much better as it gets closer..

We went and ran the trails today just to refamiliarize our selves with the place. Some areas are too wet but we found new bypasses so we should be good. The land owner wants us to stay out of the mud as much as possible. Make sure you grease your control arms cause this place will put suspension through a serious workout. Spare tires on the gate will need to be removed softops will need to be put down or taken off and you will end up with some Bastrop pinstriping. We got some pictures I will post them shortly. I am going to check with the land owner about night runs. I hope we can get a bunch of yall out it will be fun.

Damnit Ron!!! Seriously no big deal, we are trying to set these up for every 6 weeks or so, so you will be able to make one sooner or later, we'll just have fun without you until you decide to show up.... :nahnahna2:

I have a work function that weekend (Sat night) so I am out on this one. Also saving $$$$ and working on getting the toy hauler set up to haul the heap....

We talked to a land owner today about setting up a run on April 18th and 19th. KerryP is working on the details (rules) but it is a definite go if anyone wants to attend. The trails are not rock but can be challenging you will definately have a good time. Cost is 20 buck a rig, we have a bunk house that has 10 beds at 20 bucks a night or you can tent camp at no charge. All money goes to the land owner. We just want to get together bs and wheel. We also have access to a bbq pit so bring some meat to burn.
