send good thoughts to Shannon

Over the weekend Shannon kept having mild chest pains, and numbness in the left side of her face and left arm. She wouldn't go to the hospital, and instead just made an appointment to see her doctor (soonest they could get her in was today).

Yesterday I ran home for lunch, and while I was home Shannon told me that while she was running errands in the morning, she had had a very sharp pain in her chest like someone had shoved a needle into her chest and her left arm went numb. I immediately told her to get in the Jeep and drove her to the hospital. After 6 hours in the ER, 2 sets of blood tests, EKG, and chest xrays, they determined it was not a heart attack and released her with a follow up to our doctor today.

Needless to say- it was pretty frightening day yesterday. But a relief to know it was not a heart attack. Of course the lingering question now is: what is causing it? So now it's in the hands of our doctor to figure out.

Thanks y'all. Got some vicadin for the chest pains and the doctor ran some more blood today and are waiting for my insurance to approve a CT scan on my head since I've been having constant headaches and numbness on the left side. Just have to wait and see what all the test show.

We'll keep her in our prayers Steve, hope she gets this figured out ASAP! Scary stuff and glad you took control of the situation getting her to the hospital.

Shannon....our thoughts/prayers go out to ya...get better soon...this is tooo close to K-rocks for you to be acting up...lol

hope ya get feeling better, shannonnon....................the constant headaches and numbness is similar to what jennie was going thru with the "suicide headaches" .............dont remember her having chest pain though.....

i'm so glad the doc's finally got her better, it was rough while it was going on

My ex had a similar thing happen and they never did find anything.
It is frustrating.

Wow... mu freakin heart sank when I first started reading the post. Don't mess with that stuff... don't put it off or think it will go away by itself because it might be the ONLY warning you get. Thanks for sucking it up and going to the ER and thank goodness that it wasn't an MI... the signs were classic heart attack - day one of ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) class and would have gotten any medic's attention frukkin pronto!

Sounds like the ER felt the same way.

Hope they get it figured out, and then get it resolved. Headaches and numbness are a PITA.
