| Candle power ratings aren't really helpful. You need to know what kind of draw they're pulling. What are KC's specs on them? What wattage do they need, in other words? | |

most kc's and kc-type lights pull about 10amps each...........so 40 amps your cj's alternator probably can put out about 60 amps, and the running jeep and headlights should pull right around 20 amps.......so you should be ok the question i have to ask is why do you need so many kc's? kc's have to be the most annoying thing ever on the trail, they blind the living shit out of everone around you . so while you see kind of well, no one else does. also due to their brightness they cast very harsh shadows and in some circumstances hinder your ability to see by adversly effecting your night vision. if you are looking for a truly useful light set up, get some high quality h1 conversion headlights , hang enough rock lights underneath to leave no shadows, and add a tractor flood in the back for reverse.. and throw a 10milion cp cordless qbeam in the jeep for seeing way off thing....you will never want for light on the trail

| Heh, I'm planning on adding a pair of spot lights on windshield hinge mounts to my array of driving lights and the xenon headlights (part of the IPF H4 conversion I did) as seen below: | |

| That's the idea Well, at least partially. I've got a lease out there in Gonzales county between Smiley and Westhoff, and hogs are everywhere. It'd be cool to creep around with the lights off and then BAM! Slam on the lights! | |

| Heh, nice. But yeah, that's what the AR-15 is for If the first shot doesn't get 'im, the second shot will. And if not, I've got 28 more to go. Back on topic, I would really give those lights a good 15A berth. Some say 20, but that's pretty conservative. | |

shiat, i forgot........this week buddy hahaa..... ZERO hurry on this one dude, I was just f'en with ya. They have suddenly become low on my list of things to do next week. For those who have not seen his light mounts - take a look before you buy something else! They give you more view out the front and look better than anything else on the market!

| I also need a set of George's light brackets. I haven't decided on the lights he has with them. Are those any good? I assume they are spot lights and not driving lights. Also... Deacon who makes that front bumper you have on your TJ. That looks cool. | |

| Thanks, it's just a Smittybilt, but it looks pretty good and does a great job on the trails of pushing small trees and other obstacles off to the side of the fenders and protects the lower outboard (fog position) lights very well. And it was cheap | |
