| We were woke up this morning around 4:45 AM, with a neighbor knocking on the door. As I'm walking to the door (glass), he's pointing and I hear the word Jeep. GD, figured it was no longer going to be there. Get outside and am greeted by three HPD vehicles and several officers. Pointing to the Jeep, "sir is this your vehicle?" Looking at it, the back window (soft top) was down, yes thats mine! Since the last break in...I try and keep everything out fo the vehicle. However, I had a camelback sitting on my spare tire in the rear cargo, mind you with the Bestop cargo rack on top. Guess that's all it took. HPD had the thief in the back of one of the vehicles...along with everything he had stolen from several vehicles layed out of the hood. Of mine, there was my camelback, 2 pair of sunglasses (1 new Oakleys from Brandi as wedding gift, that was in the console) along with other items that were not mine: large duffle bag full of shoes, plastic bag with several pair of other sunglasses (most being Rayban). As I'm looking through the items, gathering mine, the SOB is yelling thats his stuff...grrr. The neighbor who woke us up (1 of the best neighbors a person can have) saw the thief and called HPD. Luckly, HPD was close by and caught him red handed. Once Brandi saw the Oakleys, she was pissed...if HPD would have looked the other way briefly, Brandi was ready to tear into his ass...lol. On the other hand, it was another 'nice' thief, as he unzipped the window instead of cutting it. Hardtop is going back on today! | |

- well being an insomniac and slightly paranoid finally paid off. ok so I am sitting here surfing the forum (notice the time of this thread is 4am eastern ) when I notice my outside motion detector light come on. My first thought was "eh just animal", then I realized the top and doors are off my JK. so I did what any paranoid fool would do and grabbed my .40 cal to go investigate . Long story short when I opened my front door I saw some dude leaning into my diver side !! Dude didnt even know I was behind him, the only thing keeping me from popin him was the thought of cleaning the jeep afterwards . So I racked the slide (Dude jumped about a mile high) and told him to hit the ground till the cops showed up. Simply priceless. Best part is there is nothing in the jeep other then the GPS and tire deflators locked in the glove box.
Time for ya'll to move to the prairie!

| Even before this moving was in the works...just probably wouldn't be done for several more months (but before the end of the year)...this has now moved the process to a faster speed. | |

| That is good news. Bad news is that he is caught but I am sure he is not "out of business" luckily BMV is a felony so at least it will be inconvenient for him in the long run.
I heard about two real good endings to home invasions today - one turd dead (whoop) shot by the homeowner and another caught in a separate car jacking on the N/E side.
It is good to hear news about the bad guy getting his a little. Too much bad news here lately.
Here's to the neighbor!!
