| So here lately I have been seeing a lot of cars with burnt out brake lights and if the opportunity comes up I try to let the person driving know about it(i.e. at a stop light or parking lot). But every time I do the person looks at my like I am telling them that I am going to steal there first born child, not that a light is out and I trying to help them from getting stopped or a ticket. When I was learning how to drive my dad told me if someone is having car trouble and you can help, help. If a light is out be nice and let them know, without going to the lengths of stalking them around town until they stop of course. Does anybody else do this and if so they you get the same response from people? | |

| I do, and it seems like half the time they are thankful, and the other times, they think I'm.... :loco2: | |

| I know, I have had one thankful person out of five. One lady wouldn't even roll down her window. I'm shocked she didn't run the light. | |

I personally don't do this, but my dad sorta kinda does to a select few...law enforcement (w/in the same towns where they live, just fyi ex is ex-LEO from way back int he day). Usually its has nothing to do about a burnt out brake light, but more like an unused blinker signal. He will follow them until they stop wherever...as the officer gets out...dad will inquire if their blinkers work because they weren't used at so and so place.... So far he has recieved nothing bad looks of various kinds.

I have the utmost respect for our law enforcement and military but they must set the example if they are going to enforce the law. The essence of Government is power; and power, lodged as it must be in human hands, will ever be liable to abuse. -James Madison
