| I should have posted this earlier in the day. The International Space Station, Shuttle and russian Progress will fly over head tonight. Tonight Endeavour, ISS, and Progress will all be visible over Houston. Endeavour will lead ISS by a few seconds, followed several minutes later by the Progress that will be docking to ISS tomorrow. SATELLITE | LOCAL | DURATION | MAX ELEV | APPROACH | DEPARTURE | | DATE/TIME | (MIN) | (DEG) | (DEG-DIR) | (DEG-DIR) | SHUTTLE | Tue Jul 28/09:16 PM | 2 | 79 | 35 above NW | 28 above SE | ISS | Tue Jul 28/09:16 PM | 3 | 78 | 33 above NW | 24 above SE |

| Max elevation is where it will be in the middle of the arc across the sky. 90 degrees is straight up, so 79 & 78 is 10 degrees off straight up. The shuttle and the station will go from NW to SE and it will take them 2 mins and 3 mins total to cross the entire sky. Moving very fast. The angles given (30-ish degrees) with the NW and SE mean how high off the horizon to start seeing them. | |

| I have never seen the Progress before. I don't know how visible it will be since its VERY small. Only 1 min to cross the sky is very fast. West North West to South South West @ 9:23, and max angle is 53. So its a little lower on the horizon. It will be about 4 mins after the Shuttle and Station cross. | |

| Just watched the space station and shuttle fly over. Holy crap they were bookin' across the sky! I thought it was going to be kind of lame, but I noticed it was almost time, so I went outside, and sure enough, they turned up, and it was pretty cool after all | |

| Glad some people got to see it. I wasn't sure if anyone from SA would be able to see it. The angles would be off for sure. This was the first I ever saw them trailing each other like that. I have seen them combined while the shuttle was docked and also the station alone. The shuttle undocked from the station the day before yesterday's flyover. I did fight thru the skeeters to stay and see the 3rd. It was very vaint and only lasted a minute or so. By the time I saw it it was halfway across the sky. | |
