Anyone up for Shiloh on Sept 19?

Thursday is our wedding anniversary. So we're leaving the kids with my parents and leaving town Thursday thru Saturday. We're going to go visit a friend's place near Palestine on Thursday & Friday. Since Shiloh is only an hour from Palestine, we're going to head there Saturday morning. Gonna stay at the motel in Rusk Saturday night, and head home Sunday.

Anyone up for some Shiloh wheeling with us?

I hear the Houston Jeep Meet group (or whatever they are called) are going to be out there that weekend too.

Hammerfest deal is that weekend...

I'm not trying to get a group run together. Me and my wife are going to a friends ranch in east TX for a couple days for our anniversary. Which just happens to be near enough to Shiloh that I can't resist making a detour to hit it on Saturday.

On Sat we will be up near Canton (sp)...but prob not back through Shiloh until that afternoon

I would go but.. with no windows and no doors and no inner fenders ..i dont belive my computer,battery or me wants to get that insianly muddy. sorry

N2, we have been looking for an excuse to get back out there, I would love to couldn't be there till about noon. Me and Maverick were taking out some girls to go shoot on Saturday, (GASP!) but I think I could talk him into changing the plans to the dirt. I know I'm up for it I will PM Mav.

Muddy? I avoid mud. So unless Shiloh has crazy amounts of rain this week, you won't need to worry about mud. If they do get crazy amounts of rain, I'll probably not bother going.

it rained good over the weekend, still raining there. Insane amounts of mud= MOAR FUN! don't worry N2, we will help you clean it up! Just leave your top on interior cleaning sucks. See me and Maverick are doing a rain dance hoping it rains all week including Saturday. Wheeling in hte rain is my favorite and it is easy to clean up afterward cuz the mud doesn't stick.

Mud ...once you get into rock you will realize how mud tears everything up {bearings.brakes.gears.fluids.etc}..I use to love mud but got tired of replacing parts and fluids because of it. Yall have an awesome time.

I hear all the horror stories about mud and I did replace my brakes at 35k, but as long as you clean it up rly good and don't go past a certain limit I don't see how it is any worse on a jeep than the stress put on the drivetrain in the rox. Also by mud I mean I love a muddy trail not necessarily a mud bog. I also like playing in water but you have to be very cautious wtih that stuff.

btw, that is the day I popped my jeeps offroad cherry.

You're preaching to the choir... I hate mud.

I also hate that I haven't been wheeling since Memorial Weekend, and need a fix. Even if
that means getting in some mud (as little mud as possible please).

OMG! Well N2, we will see who will win the mud wars! Forecast is rain on Saturday! I will be naked doing a rain dance all friday night and saturday. Also be careful, Maverick was telling me he might hook the deuce and a half to your tow hooks and drag you through the mud! Also due to a prior commitment I won't be able to get there till around noon. I speak for myself I don't know what Maverick is doing that day.

Got bad news for ya Ben... George is going to come to Shiloh. And Geo has the ability to cease rain and dry up mud at will. And since he hates mud as much as I do, I have no fear. The mud will be gone. Be gone I say!
