Never saw him. I looked around for him, and he had my cell # (I didn't have a number for him). I thought that maybe he hooked up with the Houston Jeep Meet people because we were so late. But I didn't see him running with them either. So I don't know.

Yeah Ben looks like it would have been a fun trip, I wanted to hit Long's this weekend but my new coil springs got here late Friday, got them installed and the hopes of using my old shocks went out the door, nobody in town had any in stock and these were kapoot and also bottomed out with the new springs, new shocks will be here tomorrow though.

We are not even taking the kids out of school for this run. We're just going to wait til they are out of school Friday, and leave immediately when they get home. That will put us in Llano around 8 pm. We'll hang at the hotel that night (probably run into a lot of the rest of the group there) get rested. Hit Longs early Saturday morning for a full day of wheeling.

Those boggers ought to do well in that granite too.

This is a great place to learn rocks on! The tires grab great. And yes, she'll have plenty of 4dr spotters out there. She'll enjoy it.

JK-Freddo pointed out that you can get a better rate for it by going thru priceline.com which is what I did.

No expert here either...just look at/think about/maybe ask another if I should and most of the time give it a shot or two or three or more...but I don't push to break (as most of us don't, cuz we gotta drive back home)

One of the best things I like about this group is the lack of pressure to try something {well one might get ribbed here and there at times but always all in fun, but nothing like other trash talking shit kickin POS drivers I've seen (and prob u2) on trails}

Hmmm, that maybe be a fun little game we could play on the easier trails...just to test each other

agreed on the group and the spotters. There are some damn good ones on this forum. I am not one of them. Just ask Maverick about the LAST time I went to shiloh and out of 10 possible lines over a very simple obstacle I picked the worst one, had all FOUR tires off the ground and had to be winched out by his 1 ton.
