| Here is my write up on the installation of the Off Road Engineering throttle control system. Install time was about an hour (and that included the time to take pictures) which is also about 2.5 beers. Here is the kit:
Here is where you will be working (it is tight so move your seat back and pull up the carpet):
The first step according to the directions (which are simple and easy by the way) is to disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Now, if you don't do this I have no sympathy for you later should you fry your electrical system...none. Second, disconnect the connector that goes into the base of the gas pedal...see the picture (you can see my flat head screw driver pointing to it):
Yeah, I know it is blurry but come on, it is tight down there!! Next, plug that cable that you disconnected (which you should use two hands for while worming your way under there) into the EHT 300. Then take the cable that is coming out of the EHT 300 and plug into the base of the gas pedal. See picture:
Again, keep in mind it is tight up there Zip tie everything up nice and neat to keep it out of harms way. See picture:
Once again, it is tight up there. At this time I took the High Idle switch and mounted it. I ran the red and black wire from there to my sPOD. You can run it otherwise...if you don't have an sPOD...freaking get one! Anyway, see the pictures for how I did that.
Keep in mind this is where I did it...you can choose another place. Drill a hole in this panel (1/2 inch) and put the switch in place:
Put the panel back in:
Wire to the sPOD:
Remove the lower panel of the center waterfall and fish the red, black and brown wire through the opening you now have.
Ground the brown (only on the manual transmissions) and black wire (see picture for where I did it)
Next splice the red wire to the accesory plug. You will tap into this blue with pink stripe wire by using the supplied wire tap...which I of course forgot to take a picture of. Now, this is where the "unknow" begins. The instructions tell me to connect the green wire from the High Idle switch to the orange wire from the hand held remote. So this is what I did:
Connect these two wires. I think it works...but I will contact them tomorrow and see if I did it correct.
Now, button everything up and test it out!
You can watch the video to see how it works.

| So far so good. I am going to fert around with it this weekend some. The install is super clean and the product is high quality. They have been commission to put something together for the Hemi in Dodges! So...if I ever get around to coverting to a Hemi I can still use on! | |

| It raises your RMPs so you don't have to sit in the cab and push the gas pedal. By doing so you increase your alternator output which is helpful when winching or welding. I will also benefit from this with my On Board Air system from Kilby. It increases the power on the compressor which in turn pumps more air, faster. | |

| Plus, it can smooth out the ride offroad. When you are driving over bumpy rocks it is really annoying when your foot hits the gas pedal and the Jeep jerks around. With this...you don't need no stinking gas pedal!!! | |
