I have been working on my website need feedback

hey guys I have been working on my website and I could use some feed back. Please check it out and let me know what you think. I will accept good and bad feedback!

oh and no it's not finished I will be adding more photo's. I have a bunch more to add just have not gotten that far yet.

I like it Jenn....especially how everything is easy to find.
Also I like the "contact info" tab (I HATE when I cant find a way to contact a company)

also in your "About us" section, "ability" is spelled incorrectly... I know its not the "real" site but I would rather say something and have it not matter than say nothing and have the typo post on the real site.

nice, i like the simplicity of it. i know when i look at a site it needs to be easy to navigate and load quickly or i lose attention, this is does both. on the about us page, Known after your name shouldn't be capitalized.

I like how the gangster side slips out of her here "Even as a child she loved being behind tha camera."

Very nice! I assume the real site won't have that banner ad at the top?

Are you planning on keeping the name Rebel Jennie? As you are going after more professional gigs, you might want to not have "Rebel" in front of your name.

It might make it sound like you don't care. As in, I might show up to take pictures at your wedding, or I might be floating down the river drinking beer and raising hell.
Just a thought....

I do like the website.

I like that the main menu is on all pages. Don't have to go back all the time.

i like it. i'm kinda used to the menus being on the left side, tho.
looks good. under Rates, you may want to change "full resolution" to FULL RESOLUTON or Hi Resolution.

Also, it should be unifrom on both, ie: "Cd of full resolution images " & "
CD of Full Resolution images" I know it's only a slight difference (caps vs lower case) but ppl may think it reflects on professionalism.

Thanks guys! I am so glad I had you guys proof it before I finished it! After working on it for days I knew there had to be mistakes but it all just seemed to blend in after a while.

Well Dutch I thought about the name quite a bit and I am at a loss, I choose the name long time ago for lots of reasons but was not sure if I should keep it or not. And I'm not even sure how much it will matter. I do not plan of doing any weddings EVER LOL and I will only be doing portraits for side cash, I am working on a few projects right now and we will see how they turn out but I may end up only doing Motor Sports Photography. I have my fingers crossed and I am hoping I end up getting this gig.

But I am surly up for name suggestions

Jennie, also go to some high school football games & other highschool events. take some pics. then approach the school with them to do their events. or,give them over to the school paper or journalism dept. them by ad space in the school paper and advertise your services to the parents to photograph their kids playing sports.

that is what my father does with his photography....the schools parents LOVE pics of their kids playing sports

Yes steve the banner at the top will be gone when I am finished, The take it away as soon as your pay for the monthly membership. I was not going to pay it till I was done with the site.

OK I fixed some of the Errors and Re worked the pricing page. I also added a few of my motor sports photos tell me what you think of the edits and adds

Say you are on the Home page and you click the home page link, it reloads the home page. How about just replacing the link with a # so it doesn't reload the page when clicked. And do that for each page. I don't know, that's just me though. I'm weird like that. lol Other than that I like it.

I did an engagement set for a couple, and then ended up doing nude shots for her to give him as a gift.

From a technical note, one thing you've got on there are large pictures that are just sized down on the page itself via HTML, being squished down by the browser. This results in wasted bandwidth and longer load times on the page (even on high-speed connections, but especially for those who are working on slower connections), and the resulting image displayed isn't consistent across all browsers and versions.

For instance, you've got an 800x1200 picture on your home page (aubrie resize web.jpg) scaled to 142×213. So the image that's displayed is 320KB but in a tiny space, where if you actually resized it down to that size, it could be only 6.4KB. You could, of course, still have that image link to the full-size version if you wanted to. All those pictures down next to it are that way, and it's pretty pervasive throughout the rest of the site.

Anyway, something to think about working on.
