i know exactly what i want, and i'm sure some of the other guys would want one too

about a 18 inch blade, tanto style, very heavy.......maybe 3/16 thich.....maybe even a modifyed tanto .......weight forward for power

with a 2 hand grip...cord wrapped

and a kydex sheath.....

shrpened with a kantana style sowrd edge, i want to be able to take out 2" sapling with it easily

I thought about a TSJM donation, but we'll see how much stock I have on hand after the knife show. I've been going like crazy trying to get enough made. After the show I gotta get all my tax stuff in order and then get ready for Tree's.

Some interesting stuff...got some skills...but same question, why are we just now learning about this?

Well I've been dabbling for years, but decided to try my hand at it as a legit side business. I never said anything cuz I never took it too seriously.

years ago, my dad was hired to do the site plan for a resort in tobago kay, belize....hes a wildlife biologist and this resort is geared towards eco-tourism. they had a contractor for the work but wanted a site supervisor that could work with the biologist to make sure all the outdoor aminitys and construction work dident damage the forest and preserve all the interesting habitat. dad recomended me forthat job , so me and dad got to go to belize for a couple of months.

well, while i was there one of the guys on my crew gave me a machette...like the ones they used....i think it was made from a old car leaf spring, the tip was wider than the handle by several inches and the blade was very heavy and thick....think the power of an axe in the body of a machette........some of those guys could cut 3-4 inch sapling in one hit. any way it got stolen a few years back and i want a new one

Whenever you get free, I wouldn't mind a good, titanium, replacement for my river knife -- it's this one below, but I'd like something better - but same features (blunt chisel tip, hook for cutting rope, pull down from sheath.)

Yeah, I can prolly do that. I'm having a guy down the road heat treat my bigger blades. His oven can handle up to 18". Tempering is done in the home oven.
