but from a different source..so we shall see I see two drill bits. What do you have to drill out? Based on the photos/diameter of the hardware listed below (just a guess of course)... * small drillbit likely needed for the Four alterable proximity sensors. * large drillbit likely needed for the Back up camera backup camera.

| That looks slick. Can you activate it at anytime? It would be cool to watch when you're out on the trail. | |

Good question, also does it become a regular rear-view mirror when not in use? And the price is crazy, so it was regular $800 +or- and less $700+or- so it's only $150 for all that hardware? Something doesn't add up, or I read it wrong.

| I had the Pyle (well, still have most of it...) - unfortunately, I put the screen behind my seat one day, forgot, laid the seat down, and I no longer have a monitor.
It's easy to wire up to an unused fuse location (I can look it up for ya later, if ya like) so that it's always on when the jeep is on (but off when it isn't).
Actually, I wired the monitor to always on, and the camera to off when off. First, I had them both on always on, but the darned camera sucks up a lot of juice. (1.2V overnight!)
No need to focus it, it has a darned-tiny aperture, meaning it's got a depth-of-field very deep (it focuses from a few inches to infinity).
It does suck at night, due to that tiny aperture, if you have it on while driving, you'll just have big white blobs with nice diffraction rays.
I liked it on the trail, but I did hate the mirror function the rest of the time. Too dark and fuzzy. I don't really miss mine much. I'd do it again, but with a different screen, preferably not replacing my mirror, and mounted into the dash or column somewhere. (away from glare-inducing reflections.)
Wiring is a breeze, even more so if you're prepared. I just grabbed some old speaker wire I had laying around (because it was laying around), and spliced into the existing RCA cable they provide, which isn't long enough.
For those that haven't seen it before, I just drilled a hole in the plastic center cap for my spare, and mounted it there.

| I wired it to an extra toggle switch (I had 3 spare toggles on that Cootech switch panel). So wired to toggle- turn it on when needed, turn it off when not. But now I'm thinking about wiring that particular toggle so that the toggle is hot only when the key is on (added protection against me doing a bonehead move like leaving the toggle on overnight). | |

The camera was supposed to be wired to come on with backing lights, and the monitor was supposed to be wired to the reverse switch. I decided to just wire them to a toggle. It works whenever I want. Part of the reason I wanted this thing was because I couldn't see behind me when backing on a trail (ya know, those 5 point turns us Unlimited guys have to deal with). I think this thing is going to work great to keep me from backing into rocks and trees
